FROM THE GULF

SWFL Spearfishing started as a way to document fishing trips, diving adventures, and the fish we brought home. What grew out of it is a community of divers, anglers, hunters, and ocean-minded people from across Southwest Florida, the Gulf of America, and beyond.

The channel covers it all: deep wrecks, shallow reefs, nearshore ledges, offshore runs, solo missions, family trips, and everything in between.

Life on the Gulf is about more than filling a cooler. It's about early mornings at the dock before sunrise, checking weather, loading gear, and heading toward the horizon with friends, family, and people who share the same respect for the water. It's about passing down knowledge from one generation to the next, teaching kids how to tie knots, read conditions, respect the ocean, and appreciate where their food comes from.

Fishing and spearfishing in Southwest Florida offer some of the most unique opportunities anywhere in the country. From crystal-clear reef systems and artificial wrecks to grass flats, mangrove shorelines, and offshore structures, every trip presents a different challenge.
